Spatial Data Management

GeolinQ solutions

GeolinQ is a generic data management platform that enables organizations to configure custom applications. Applications consist of a configured data model and when required configured screens that are aligned to the end-users needs. A number of standard configurations is available to support commonly used GIS applications. Examples are the use of authentic registrations in the Netherlands and GNSS data acquisition. After import in GeolinQ a standard configuration is immediately available as an application. The standard configuration may be customized and extended to meet specific needs of end-users.

Standard configurations

Available standard configurations are:

  • Authentic registrations: Import, combine and use of the authentic registrations in the Netherlands varying from cadastral- to chamber of commerce data.
  • Sub-surface data: Import, use and delivery of the authentic registration sub-surface data themes like soil and water quality and borings as currently developed in the Netherlands.
  • Cables and Pipelines: Network operators are facilitated to supply cable and pipeline assets to the Cadaster and retrieve KLIC notifications compliant to the Dutch WIBON regulations. The delivered network and retrieved KLIC notifications are combined in a map.
  • GNSS: Measure and stake out reference points on location based on designs and planned works on an iPad or other mobile device. The interface with a GNSS receiver enables to measure and stake out reference points with a high accuracy.
  • Green space maintenance plan integration
  • Employee risk management

Custom applications

GeolinQ is a no-code platform. Custom applications can be made by configuration without the use of code or scripts. GeolinQ users are able to define applications to manage organization specific datasets, collect third party datasets and publish custom datasets to end-users using the web interface.

To manage organization specific datasets a data model is configured. A data model consists of one or more data objects, attributes and validation criteria for attributes. The data model supports object orientation and allows object type inheritance and managing multiple object types in a single dataset. Users may modify or extend the data model by for example adding object types or attributes. Based on the configured data model users are able to create, edit and delete data. Existing file based datasets can be imported and added to the data model to maintain in GeolinQ.

Datasets from external data sources like files, databases or WFS services can be imported or linked to GeolinQ. The external data source originated from data models, for example the database schemas or XSD’s, are generated in GeolinQ. The datasets from the imported or linked data sources are immediately available for use.

End-users prefer to use customized datasets that support their specific business process. These customized datasets are a subset-, or combination, of datasets derived from the available data sources. In GeolinQ derived data sets are directly linked to the source datasets via reference attributes, views en processes . Derived datasets are kept up-to-date automatically even when the source datasets are changed, as the dependency chain from source datasets to derived datasets is tracked. Datasets can be distributed in various flavors and coordinate systems due to configurable WMS, WFS and REST- services and data export in multiple formats.

Multiple screen types , varying from maps for geographic data to forms and lists for administrative data, are available for end-users to visualize and manage datasets in GeolinQ. Multiple screens can be combined to create an application service . By adding a logo and modifying the stylesheet color schema of the application service the appearance of the application can be aligned to cooperate identity of the client.
