Maps and application screens
The datasets of the flexible data model can be presented in screens and map layers to support the collection of source data and the application of information products. For the presentation in map layers, styles and color scales are linked to the data structures of the flexible data model. These styles and color scales can be applied in WMS layers as well as in map layers of the map screen.
Application screens such as charts, lists and forms can be linked to the data structures of the flexible data model. The application screens are applied in an application service for a GIS application. The application service can be accessed from any device equipped with a web browser and is available in the office and in the field.
Styles and colour scales
Styles and color scales are linked to the data structure of a dataset and can be applied in map layers and WMS layers to visualize the data of a dataset.
Vector datasets or feature datasets are visualized with styles based on the OGC Styled Layer Descriptor (SLD) standard. The SLD standard is a widely used open standard in the GIS world. In GeolinQ, SLD styles can easily be created and applied to the data in a dataset. Existing SLD style definitions can also be imported and applied in GeolinQ.
Point clouds and grid datasets can be visualized in GeolinQ with color scales. Color scales can be configured for absolute, relative and thematic visualization.
Configuring GIS application using application screens
A GIS application is configured by application screens to collect or distribute data. Application screens in GeolinQ are directly linked to the data structure and can easily be configured using a wizard based on the data structure. The application logic is configured by interlinking the application screens. GeolinQ has various types of configurable application screens for various purposes:
Screentype | Explanation | |
---|---|---|
Menu screen | Screen to configure static menus. | |
Tab screen | Screen to configure tab pages. | |
Export screen | Screen to configure a dataset export. | |
List screen | Screen to configure lists and features on a map. | |
Form screen | Screen to configure forms. | |
Questionnaire screen | Screen to configure Questionnaire lists. | |
;Map screen | Screen to configure maps. | |
Text screen | Screen to configure text and images. |
